Bending Performance of Concrete Sandwich Walls with Actual Boundary Conditions

Concrete sandwich walls are commonly used as the exterior wall panels of a structure, in which suffers out-of-plane bending under strong wind conditions. This paper aims to investigate performance concrete actual boundary conditions through experimental and analytical methods. In total, four were tested detect influence openings loading direction. Typical failure patterns characterized discussed. The load-displacement curves test specimens analyzed. It was indicated that bearing capacity negative higher than positive conditions, owing additional constraints provided by steel beams. Strain distributions also discussed order obtain composite action between upper lower layers concrete. addition, finite element model (FEM) developed ABAQUS provide insights into walls.
